Recently, YouTuber Doctor Mike weighed in on the debate, highlighting why Kai Cenat's partnership with McDonald's for the Chicken Big Mac shouldn't be equated to MrBeast and Logan Paul's Lunchly venture.

Last September, a buzz was created when Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast joined forces to introduce Lunchly, a ready-to-eat meal marketed as a healthier alternative to Lunchables. However, the claim of being "healthier for you" faced immediate backlash online.

Shortly after, Kai Cenat embarked on a collaboration with McDonald's to promote the launch of the Chicken Big Mac. This move sparked discussions on social media, questioning why Lunchly received criticism while Kai's partnership with the fast-food giant did not.

While many drew parallels between Kai promoting fast food and the promotion of Lunchly as a healthier option, Doctor Mike offered a different perspective. The licensed medical professional shared his views in a recent video, explaining why he believes the two scenarios are not interchangeable.

Doctor Mike emphasized, "I think if you’re making candy, well, yes, overconsumption of candy and added sugar is a problem, but candy is not considered a health food." He pointed out the distinction between marketing candy and positioning a product as a healthier alternative.

Regarding Kai Cenat's collaboration with McDonald's, Doctor Mike acknowledged that while it may not present a positive image, it doesn't equate to claiming the fast-food chain is a healthy choice.

Despite his critique of recent product releases and influencer partnerships, Doctor Mike expressed his support for creators venturing into entrepreneurship. He encouraged creators to innovate responsibly, stating, "Creators being entrepreneurs is overall a really good thing, and I want to encourage creators to do this."

He further added, "If you’re going to challenge 'Big Candy,' strive to create a genuinely better candy. If you aim to disrupt the lunch market, offer a legitimate healthier version. That's where I can get on board and support the cause."

On the other hand, Logan Paul defended his decision not to create a significantly healthier version of Lunchables, citing that he wanted to offer a product he would personally consume.

Doctor Mike's insights shed light on the complexities of influencer marketing and the responsibility that comes with endorsing products to a wide audience.
