Influencer Busted for Domestic Assault as TikTok Ex Goes Viral With Abuse Allegations
Social media influencer Evan Johnson being charged with domestic assault. This comes on the heels of TikToker Kayla Malec, his ex-girlfriend, posting a series of viral videos where she opens up about an “extremely abusive relationship” she endured, according to reports.

Johnson and Malec, who has an impressive following of 14.9 million on TikTok, were romantically involved for about a year. Recently, Malec took to her platform to share her story, referring to her abuser only as “Evan.” Her goal? To help others avoid the same fate and raise awareness about domestic abuse, as reported by various sources.

In one of her posts, Malec expressed the deep emotional scars left by her experience. “I will never be able to forget the scars left. I will never be the same girl I was before this. The same man who will look you in the eyes and say ‘I love you’ & then attempt to kill you is an experience I hope nobody ever has to live,” she wrote on a note that directed her fans to her two-hour YouTube tell-all titled “He doesn’t love you. pt.1.”

Malec continued to share her struggles, stating, “I was silently being abused while posting my life online smiling. It’s true you can see it in the eyes.” She did not explicitly name her abuser in her posts, only providing a first name, but her message was clear and powerful.
Reflecting on her past, she said, “I watch my old videos and see someone I NEVER want to see again. It drained my soul and ripped apart the strong nature of myself I’ve had my entire life. I can’t put into words the abuse and what it did to me.”

On Monday, Johnson, 20, was booked in Sumner County, Tennessee, for assault against an unidentified victim and for a parole violation, according to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. He was able to make bail and was released the same day, as reported.
On the same day, Malec shared a tearful TikTok video, claiming it was filmed on January 15. “I wanted to look at my eyes once I finally left. You really can see everything in the eyes,” she captioned the emotional clip. “This was the last time he got physical with me.”

In a follow-up two-hour YouTube video titled “He doesn’t love you. part 2,” Malec elaborated on her experiences, emphasizing her desire to help others who might be in similar situations. She encouraged viewers to leave their partners if they resonate with her story.
“This happened to me to save others. If I saw this video 9 months ago, it would have saved my life. I was put through this so I can save you,” she stated passionately.

Malec also mentioned that she has received an outpouring of support from her followers. “I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people sharing their stories and saying that I helped them,” she shared. “I actually don’t have words for that, because that’s all I wanted this to do.”
As for Johnson, he has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations against him. The situation has sparked conversations about the importance of recognizing and addressing domestic abuse, especially in the context of social media where many people share their lives publicly.
