Influencer Mom, 26, Passes Away Eight Days After Botched Breast Surgery, Heartbreaking Final Posts Document Recovery from Procedure
Derleya Alves, a 26-year-old Brazilian model and mother, succumbed to complications just eight days after undergoing breast augmentation surgery.
In her final moments, the fitness and lifestyle influencer shared poignant posts documenting her recovery, including a heart-wrenching photo taken shortly before her death on Saturday night.

On February 20, Derleya entered the operating room for what she hoped would be a transformative procedure. However, intense abdominal pain followed immediately after the surgery.
Despite her discomfort, she continued to engage with her followers, posting images from her hospital bed. One video captured a tender moment with her mother assisting her in getting dressed, accompanied by the caption: “Mum getting me ready after my bath.”

As her health deteriorated, medical professionals worked tirelessly to save her. She underwent several tests and two additional surgeries aimed at addressing the complications she faced.
During these procedures, surgeons repaired her intestines and removed one of her ovaries. Unfortunately, these efforts were not enough; she passed away due to complications at Marabá Municipal Hospital in northern Brazil.

Derleya leaves behind a young son, adding to the tragedy of her untimely death. Medical experts have suggested that a possible congenital intestinal abnormality may have exacerbated her condition.
At this time, there are no indications of medical malpractice, but authorities are awaiting detailed analyses to determine the precise cause of death.

Her funeral took place at the Assembleia de Deus Missão Church in Marabá on Sunday afternoon, where family and friends gathered to mourn.
With a following of 26,000 on Instagram, Derleya frequently shared fitness-related content, inspiring many with her lifestyle choices.

This incident follows another tragic case involving Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura, a 31-year-old lawyer and wellness influencer who suffered severe complications during an assisted reproduction treatment. Gabriela had been trying to conceive for two years when she underwent a procedure on February 17, only to experience cardiorespiratory arrest at a clinic in São Paulo.
The details surrounding Gabriela's treatment remain unclear, as it has not been disclosed whether she was undergoing IVF or an egg retrieval process.
