Jake Paul Walks Out on Piers Morgan During Tense Interview

Jun 26 2025

“You think your opinion matters, Piers?” Jake Paul shot back, dismissing Piers Morgan during a fiery segment of their interview.

The confrontation unfolded in a teaser clip from Piers Morgan Uncensored, released on June 26, just ahead of the full interview set to air on YouTube. Paul, 28, appeared on the show to promote his upcoming boxing match against Julio César Chávez Jr., scheduled for June 28.

In the preview, Morgan challenged Paul’s boxing legitimacy, referencing the influencer's loss to Tommy Fury, who handed Paul his first professional defeat in February 2023 via split decision in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. “You lost to the only proper boxer you’ve faced,” Morgan pointed out.

Further mocking Paul’s unanimous decision win over a then-58-year-old Mike Tyson in November 2024, Morgan stated, “Peak Tyson, you wouldn’t have lasted 10 seconds.”

Paul retorted, “This s*** is not a joke. I’m knocking out the best of the best. People don’t realize I’m a real killer. I really f***ing do this s***.”

As tensions escalated, Paul insulted Morgan by calling him “a fat ass,” prompting Morgan to suggest that Paul should focus on being “a great YouTuber” instead. “You can sit there and make up s*** but you actually don’t know your facts,” Paul fired back.

Ultimately, the heated exchange led Paul to abruptly end the interview by shutting his laptop screen.

This wasn’t Paul’s only awkward interview while promoting his fight against Chávez Jr. Earlier in June, a Zoom interview with Extra host Billy Bush took a turn when they began trading sarcastic barbs. The tension escalated after Paul joked about not knowing who Bush was, leading Bush to remark on Paul’s history of fighting “washed-up” boxers.

A source revealed that Paul responded dismissively, “You’re not a big enough name,” to which Bush retorted, “I’m Billy Bush, the biggest name on TV! I was on the Trump tape!”

Bush had previously faced backlash after leaked footage from Access Hollywood showed him engaging in controversial banter with Donald Trump prior to the 2016 election. He later expressed embarrassment over his involvement.

Insiders speculated that the exchange between Bush and Paul might not make it into the final cut of their interview, while representatives for both parties declined to comment.

Meanwhile, Paul has been vocal about wanting to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition match. Mayweather indicated in March that he would consider it, stating, “We know we can’t do a real fight because it’s not going to be sanctioned because of the weight difference. But we could do an exhibition. That’s easy work, super easy.”

Mayweather previously fought Jake’s brother Logan Paul in an exhibition match in June 2021, going the full eight rounds.

For now, Jake Paul is set to face Chávez Jr. in a 10-round cruiserweight bout at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California this Saturday.
