Kader Kohou's Season Cut Short by Knee Injury

Jul 30 2025

The Miami Dolphins confirmed that cornerback Kader Kohou will not return this season following a knee injury incurred during practice on Saturday.

As the team's leading cornerback, Kohou's absence is a significant blow to the Dolphins' defensive lineup.

Injuries have plagued the Dolphins throughout training camp. On Tuesday, safety Ashtyn Davis also faced an injury, as reported by head coach Mike McDaniel. While specifics about Davis's leg injury remain undisclosed, McDaniel reassured fans that it would not sideline him for the entire season.

Earlier in the training camp, on July 23, offensive lineman Bayron Matos was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital after a serious incident at practice. His agent, Perlesta Hollingworth, revealed that Matos experienced an inadvertent collision with a teammate, resulting in what was described as an "above the shoulder type injury." However, the exact nature of the injury—whether it involved the neck or spine—was not clarified.

Matos remained hospitalized for several days for observation but has since been released.

As the Dolphins navigate these challenges, the focus will shift to how they adapt their roster in light of these injuries.
