DK Metcalf Reveals Aaron Rodgers' Quirky Training Camp Rituals
Upon arriving at the Pittsburgh Steelers' training camp, DK Metcalf quickly discovered the quirks of his new dorm neighbor, Aaron Rodgers. The wide receiver, 27, recounted his surprise at sharing living quarters with the 41-year-old quarterback during an interview on July 25.
“He popped out of the corner,” Metcalf joked about Rodgers emerging from the shared bathroom. “The toilet is super loud, so he was like, ‘Yeah, at night, if we got to piss, just don’t flush the toilet.’ I was like, ‘All right, bet.’”
Rodgers, who joined the Steelers earlier this year, is currently preparing for the upcoming NFL season. His unique approach to dorm life has certainly caught Metcalf's attention.
Later that evening, Metcalf texted Rodgers to check if he was awake at 9:30 PM. When Rodgers confirmed he was alert, Metcalf cheekily replied, “All right, bet. I’m about to flush the toilet.”
Rodgers is focused on the upcoming season, and his living arrangements reflect that determination. “Most of the 32 teams would probably say something to that accord at this time of the year,” he stated in a press conference. “But I think there’s really only six to eight that have a legitimate chance. Sometimes it’s 10 to 12, and there’s teams that surprise you. I would say on paper, we’re probably one of those 10 to 12.”
As he embarks on his 21st NFL season, Rodgers will have his new wife by his side. He subtly revealed his marriage during a press conference last month without disclosing her name.
He continued, “I got the most incredible wife. I just really love her and I’m just so thankful to have her by my side in the end. When you have that stability and that rock behind you at the house, you feel like you can do anything.”
In December 2024, Rodgers confirmed he was dating a woman named Brittani, later revealing she is indeed his wife, though details about her remain scarce.
Metcalf is also experiencing a romantic high as he prepares for the NFL season after proposing to pop star Normani in March.
“I was definitely that little girl dreaming of what my wedding dress would look like, what my ring would look like, and what my dream proposal would look like,” Normani, 29, shared with Vogue regarding Metcalf’s proposal. “But for me, the most important part is that God has just been there. He’s been faithful to both of us, and I have found my dream man. There’s nobody that I would want to spend the rest of my life with and do life with. He’s literally my best friend, and I’m just really grateful that we found each other.”
