Lady Gaga Fans Ride Themed Caltrain to Concert

Dozens of devoted fans boarded a Lady Gaga-themed Caltrain car, embarking on a spirited journey from San Jose to the Chase Center in San Francisco for a highly anticipated concert.

"Very entertaining," remarked Tempest Won, a Caltrain passenger. "Definitely made the ride seem a lot shorter than it actually was."

Won and his sister, Athena, were unaware of the themed train prior to their trip but were excited to take the train to the concert regardless.

"When Caltrain pulled up at the station and it said, 'Go Gaga' on the windows," Won recalled. "And then we walked on, and they started handing us stuff. That's when we found out."

Feeling fortunate to be part of the experience, they connected with fellow fans, setting an upbeat tone for the evening ahead.

"While we were on board, they held a look-alike contest," Athena shared. "Neither of us were prepared for that at all, but it was really sweet that some people looked a lot like her."

Athena left the train looking more like Gaga than when she boarded, thanks to a Lady Gaga mask she received. Other passengers won records, while Caltrain staff distributed fans emblazoned with "Go Gaga, Go Caltrain."

Sherrie McLennan chose the train specifically because of the promotion. "We were going to drive, but then we saw the news this morning about this event and decided to take the train instead," she explained. "It's much cheaper than driving all the way here and paying for parking, plus it's better for the environment."

Won echoed McLennan's sentiments, stating that while Lady Gaga was 'Born this Way,' he was destined to ride Caltrain. "We're long-time public transit fans, thanks to our momโ€”shout out to mom," he said. "We would have taken Caltrain regardless of the Gaga theme."

For Won, dancing to Gaga's music was about more than just enjoying the show; it was an opportunity to bond with his sister.

Taking Caltrain allowed them more time together. "We actually got to have a real good conversation," he noted about their time on the train. "We're visiting for the first time in a while, and we spent the whole ride just catching up. Which was really, really nice."
