Leo High School Choir's Viral Video Sparks "America's Got Talent" Audition
Audrina Sinclair's Instagram reel, showcasing the Leo High School choir, has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 2.7 million views since its release in February. The choir, based on Chicago's South Side, caught the eye of producers from "America's Got Talent," leading to an exciting opportunity for the young performers.
"Leo is infectious," Sinclair remarked, reflecting on her experience with the choir. "The young men inspire me, and the choir made me feel something. I'm so excited that the positive power of social media did its thing for the Leo boys! They deserved to be heard around the world." Her enthusiasm highlights the impact of digital platforms in amplifying local talent.
In a significant step forward, the choir members traveled to Los Angeles for their audition. The school organized a watch party, creating a supportive atmosphere for the students as they prepared to showcase their talents on a national stage.
Many of these young performers faced new experiences, including flying for the first time. "Just the experience of flying for the first time, and obviously the venue, the platform, the discipline it takes to prepare for something of this magnitude," said Ladonna Hill, the music teacher at Leo High School. Her words capture the blend of excitement and challenge that accompanies such a momentous occasion.
