Notably, Collier, who had recently delivered a stellar 36-point MVP performance at the All-Star game, was held scoreless in the first quarter and managed only eight points overall, while McBride led at halftime with 12 points.

Capitalizing on Chicago's mistakes, Minnesota scored 10 points off seven turnovers in the second quarter alone, finishing with a total of 20 points from 23 turnovers committed by the Skyโthis being the highest number of turnovers forced by the Lynx this season. Additionally, Minnesota's defense was formidable, recording eight blocked shots, four of which were credited to Collier.
As the second half commenced, Smith opened with a three-pointer that pushed the lead to 50-38, followed by another from McBride, further solidifying the Lynx's dominance as they pulled away from their opponents.
