OnlyFans Users Favor Pet and Gaming Chats Over Adult Content, New Study Finds
Men are increasingly turning to OnlyFans models for conversations about everyday topics rather than sexual encounters, according to a new report from Supercreator, an OnlyFans management and AI platform.
Top spenders on the platform are shelling out over $5,000 for a single creator, engaging in an average of 2,793 messages. Surprisingly, discussions about sex do not dominate these exchanges.
On May 21, Supercreator released findings revealing that 78% of interactions among high spenders focus on pets, workdays, and nostalgic childhood memories.

This trend highlights a desire for companionship and emotional support, often referred to as the “girlfriend experience.”
Sophie Rain, recognized as a leading figure on OnlyFans, has observed this phenomenon firsthand. Her most dedicated fan has invested over $6 million in two years, yet rarely requests explicit content.
“We talk every single day, without fail,” Sophie shared. With seven million Instagram followers (@sophieraiin), she noted that her fan Charley, who is married and resides in the U.S., frequently sends voice notes to check in on her day.

“I serve more as an emotional support system for him,” she explained. “People often assume that high-paying clients want something risqué. Ironically, he prefers to see me fully clothed, engaging in daily activities.”
For top creators, fostering personal relationships with clients is essential for maximizing earnings. High-value fans tend to be loyal supporters who tip generously and offer extravagant gifts to demonstrate their connection.

Despite the significant investment of time and effort—78% of messages revolve around topics like gaming and television, with only 15% related to sexual content—the “girlfriend experience” proves to be a lucrative venture.
In a separate report last month, Supercreator revealed that leading adult models can earn upwards of $300,000 monthly, particularly those in the top 0.01% of creators.

Yuval, the CEO of Supercreator, emphasized that contrary to common assumptions, high spenders are not merely seeking explicit material. “They’re looking for emotional connection,” he stated. “The highest-paying fans invest in what we term the girlfriend experience—an ongoing, intimate relationship cultivated through direct messages.”

“While nudity is readily available online, meaningful and consistent attention from a creator is what fosters loyalty and drives revenue,” he added. “The challenge lies in scaling this model.”
As millions of new fans join the platform, creators face difficulties in identifying and nurturing these valuable relationships. “Maintaining a fun and flirty demeanor around the clock can lead to burnout,” Yuval noted. “Moreover, with 81% of fans never spending money, creators require smarter tools to engage effectively with those willing to invest.”
