Stefon Diggs Faces Backlash for Cheerleader Interaction Following Baby Announcement
Stefon Diggs found himself in the spotlight for tossing a football to a New England Patriots cheerleader mere hours after the announcement of his new baby with Cardi B. The timing raised eyebrows among fans and commentators alike.
“Bruh what’s wrong with Stefon Diggs?” Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty quipped on X, sharing a video clip of the incident during the first quarter of the Patriots' 27-14 win over the New York Jets on November 13.
In the same day, Cardi B, 33, took to Instagram to share her joy about welcoming their first child. “A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me,” she expressed, emphasizing her commitment to her children.

Football enthusiasts quickly reacted to Diggs’ sideline gesture, filling McCourty’s post with humorous comments. “This man is always on the hunt,” one user remarked, while another speculated, “He must have written his number on the ball before the play.”
Amidst the laughter, some hinted that Cardi might not appreciate Diggs’ actions. “You know they arguing about this as soon as he gets home,” one comment suggested, while another added, “That’s his next baby mom; Cardi B gotta get this man under control.”
Earlier this month, it was disclosed that Diggs is also the father of a baby girl born in April to model Aileen Lopera. “We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father,” Lopera’s attorney stated, expressing hope for meaningful co-parenting.
In December 2024, Lopera initiated a paternity suit against Diggs, seeking legal and physical custody of their child and requesting child support along with pregnancy-related expenses.
Diggs responded in July, expressing uncertainty about his paternity and requesting genetic testing. He also sought joint custody if the test confirmed he was the father. Additionally, he has a daughter named Nova from a previous relationship.
Cardi B has her own parenting journey, having welcomed daughter Kulture in July 2018, son Wave in September 2021, and daughter Blossom in September 2024, all with ex-husband Offset.

Reflecting on her life changes, Cardi wrote on Instagram, “My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season.” She emphasized her determination to prepare for an upcoming tour and embrace her personal growth.
“This next chapter is Me vs. Me! It’s me against all odds,” she declared, showcasing her resolve to deliver an unforgettable performance while celebrating her evolution as a woman.
