Support for Giants RB Cam Skattebo Following Injury

Chloe Rodriguez took to social media to express her unwavering support for New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo following his severe ankle injury. The incident occurred during the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 26, leading to a dislocated ankle that required immediate surgical intervention.

On October 27, Rodriguez shared a blue heart emoji on her Instagram Story, responding to Skattebo’s post-surgery update. The 23-year-old athlete had just undergone surgery and was eager to thank those who supported him during this challenging time.

“Thank you everyone for the support!!” Skattebo wrote on X. “Surgery went well. I just want to thank the city of Philly for taking the best care of me. Every moment I spent in the hospital with family and friends I felt loved and supported in every way ❤️ thank you to the doctors, surgeons, and staff that did their best work on me.”

After being carted off the field at Lincoln Financial Field, Skattebo was transported to a local hospital where he underwent the procedure. His injury will sideline him for the remainder of his rookie season.

“This is just the beginning of my journey and I can’t wait to show you guys all about it!!! GOD has a plan for me, stick the course and it will all work itself out, BRB 🏈 #LFG,” he added, showcasing his determination to recover.

According to NFL insider reports, if the surgery went as expected, Skattebo should be ready for next season without complications. “It’s a gruesome injury, but the recovery is actually not as bad,” the insider noted.

Rodriguez and Skattebo’s relationship began during their time at Sacramento State University, where he played football and she was a cheerleader. After two years there, Skattebo transferred to Arizona State University for his final collegiate seasons.

Drafted by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Rodriguez was present to celebrate this significant milestone with him. “I love supporting you, keep making us proud ❤️,” she posted on Instagram after the draft. “Time to head back east, go @nygiants!”

Rodriguez frequently shares moments from their life in New York on social media. Recently, she posted a series of photos from a Giants game at MetLife Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers, where she sported a custom shirt with Skattebo’s number “44” and carried a purse featuring his last name.

Earlier this month, she also shared a snapshot from the back page of the New York Post celebrating the Giants’ victory over the Eagles on October 9, captioning it, “So far so good <3.”

In response to Skattebo’s injury, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart expressed his devastation. “It’s my boy, man, so seeing him go down and obviously reacting to what happened, that sucks,” Dart said. “It’s the worst part of this game.”
