Suspect in TikToker's Murder Leaves Chilling Note at Murder Scene
Authorities report that a suspect in the murder of 23-year-old TikToker Valeria Márquez left a haunting note accompanied by red roses at the scene of the crime.

On May 13, 2025, a masked individual entered Márquez's salon in Zapopan, Mexico, under the guise of a delivery driver, claiming to have a “very expensive” gift that required her presence to receive.
Upon her arrival, Márquez expressed unease during her live stream, stating, “Maybe they were going to kill me. Were they going to come and take me away, or what?”
Shortly thereafter, another man arrived, inquiring about her before shooting her three times and fleeing with an accomplice.

The shocking incident quickly gained international attention, leading to a manhunt for the assailant as footage of the murder was removed from her social media accounts.
Days later, investigators intercepted a bouquet of red roses and a note left at the salon, which contained only the word “Sorry.”
According to La Derecha Diario, the delivery was made anonymously through an app, prompting authorities to incorporate this detail into their ongoing investigation.

Police confirmed that Márquez had no known ties to criminal activities. Denis Rodríguez from the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office suggested that she was likely targeted by hired killers. “It appears he didn’t know her. With that, you can deduce – without jumping to conclusions – that this was a person who was paid… obviously someone who came with a purpose,” he stated.
In a related investigation, authorities are also looking into the murder of a former congressman that occurred just hours before Márquez's death. In that case, two men escaped on a motorcycle, raising suspicions of a possible connection between the two incidents.
Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro has indicated that police possess a composite sketch of the suspect and have gathered “precise data” regarding those involved.
This incident marks yet another tragic event involving influencers; in 2023, a TikToker known as the “Narco Queen” was shot dead by two assailants in broad daylight while heading to a nail salon.
