Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Holiday Plans: Football, Family, and Festivities
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are gearing up for a holiday season packed with football and family fun this year. The NFL has confirmed that Kelce, 35, and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will be hitting the field on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day during the upcoming 2025 season.

On Thanksgiving, the Chiefs will be heading to Dallas to face off against the Cowboys. The highly anticipated game is set to kick off at 4:30 PM ET and will be broadcast on CBS. In a playful jab at their rivals, the Chiefs took to social media to share a photo of Post Malone, a well-known Cowboys fan and collaborator with Swift, donning a Chiefs jersey. “See you guys at Thanksgiving! 😜,” the Chiefs tweeted, tagging both the Cowboys and the musician.
Then, on Christmas Day, the Chiefs will be back at home, hosting the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. This game is scheduled for 8:15 PM ET and will be available for streaming on Prime Video. The Chiefs are already hyping up the event, tweeting, “Let’s make this the loudest silent night of all time 🤫💥.”
In addition to the holiday games, Kansas City will also be making a trip to São Paulo, Brazil, to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 on September 5. However, Kelce isn’t too thrilled about playing in the heat. On a recent episode of his “New Heights” podcast, he expressed his concerns, saying, “I’ll be playing football in the f***ing heat.”
Kelce humorously mentioned that he plans to ask for “a couple of jerseys, maybe three pairs of pants” for the Brazilian game. He added, “There’s just something about getting close to the equator; I don’t want to put on a football uniform doing that. I’ve been in Jacksonville in September, and that’s f***ing miserable.” Despite his worries about the weather, he remains determined to secure a win.
Last year, the Chiefs also played on Christmas Day, traveling to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. Swift, 34, was not present for that game, but she did make an appearance at the Chiefs' home game against the Las Vegas Raiders the day after Thanksgiving. She was spotted arriving at the game with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, and was seen sitting next to her father, Scott Swift, inside the stadium.
According to reports, Swift and her family hosted the Kelce family for Thanksgiving in Nashville. A source shared, “[Travis’ brother] Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special.”
The excitement for the 2025 NFL season is building, with the official kickoff set for September 4, when the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will host the Cowboys. As the holiday season approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the festive football matchups and the chance to see Swift and Kelce celebrate together.
