Ticket Lottery Announced for 2026 World Cup at Lincoln Financial Field

Jul 15 2025

Philadelphia is gearing up to welcome elite soccer talent in 2026 as the World Cup descends upon Lincoln Financial Field, but securing tickets will be a challenge.

Set to host six matches during the tournament in June and July, the venue's ticketing process was outlined by FIFA on Tuesday. A phased lottery system will kick off on September 10, allowing fans a chance to secure their spot.

To participate, fans must register online with FIFA, creating a FIFA ID if they do not already possess one. This ID will be essential for applying for tickets during the initial sales phase.

For those who may not succeed in the first round, there’s no need for despair. Multiple ticket phases will extend from the initial sale on September 10 all the way through to the final match on July 19, 2026.

FIFA has also announced that the Final Draw for World Cup 2026 will occur in December, after which teams will be assigned to specific matches, venues, and kick-off times.

The tournament will commence on June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, culminating with the final match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, 2026.
