Trinity Rodman Critiques Wimbledon Coverage Amid Boyfriend's Victory
Trinity Rodman voiced her displeasure with the Wimbledon broadcast that overshadowed her boyfriend Ben Shelton's significant win. Following Shelton's triumph against Lorenzo Sonego in the Round of 16 on July 7, Rodman took to social media to address her grievances.
“For those who don’t know…my name is TRINITY not Tiffany,” she posted on her Instagram Story, highlighting the broadcasters' mistake in mispronouncing her name.
Rodman also expressed frustration over the repeated mentions of her estranged father, former NBA player Dennis Rodman, during the match. “Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as his support system, which includes his dad…my dad’s not even in MY life; no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine,” she stated. “It’s him and his loved ones’ moment. Thank you.”

In a candid discussion on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in December 2024, Trinity elaborated on her complicated relationship with her father. “He’s not a dad,” she remarked to host Alex Cooper. “Maybe by blood, but nothing else.”
She further explained, “We tried to be that foundation and to be the good people around him. Because in reality, we never really asked for anything unless we really needed it.” Trinity emphasized the desire for genuine connection, stating, “We just want you. I think for him, he’s never understood the fact, because he’s never experienced it.”
Earlier this year, Shelton, 22, shared insights about the public attention surrounding their relationship since they went public in March. “I was sure some people would talk about it, but I didn’t think it would be a break the Internet type of thing,” he said.

He noted that making their relationship official helped clarify rumors about his personal life. “I feel like for the past 6 months, whenever I would get seen with somebody, people would think we were dating,” he explained. “It’s like, no, we’re just friends.”
Shelton is set to face Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon quarterfinals on July 9.
