Wrigley Field Set to Host 2027 MLB All-Star Game

Jul 24 2025

Wrigley Field is gearing up to welcome the MLB All-Star Game in 2027, marking its first time hosting the event in over thirty years.

On August 1, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred is expected to make the official announcement during his visit to the iconic ballpark, according to sources.

This decision follows a city council ordinance passed in June, which authorized the installation of bollards around the stadium to enhance safety measures.

Manfred emphasized that these improvements were crucial for securing the All-Star Game at Wrigley Field.

The last time the historic venue hosted the All-Star Game was in 1990, making this upcoming event a significant milestone for both the park and the city.

Before Wrigley’s turn, next year’s All-Star Game will take place at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, continuing the tradition of showcasing baseball's finest talent.
