Blake Snell's Wife Celebrates His NLCS Win with Throwback Rap Video

Oct 14 2025

Haeley Snell took to Instagram to commemorate her husband Blake's impressive showing in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, known for his prowess on the mound, was also once a budding rapper.

In a nostalgic throwback, Haeley shared a clip from Blake's 2012 rap track "Rising Stars," where he can be seen sporting a Tampa Bay Rays cap. “You keep it amateur while I keep it pro,” he raps, proudly displaying a baseball card featuring his name.

Blake Snell, drafted by the Rays in 2011, has made significant strides in his career. After playing for the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants, he inked a five-year, $182 million deal with the Dodgers in November 2024, marking one of the largest contracts for a left-handed pitcher in MLB history.

Married in January, Blake and Haeley are parents to two sons: Kaedyn, born in June 2024, and another child welcomed in August. Haeley announced the arrival of their newest addition on Instagram, sharing, “Welcome to the world, our little love,” without disclosing the baby’s name.

On October 13, Blake delivered a stellar performance against the Milwaukee Brewers, pitching eight innings with only one hit allowed and striking out ten batters. The Dodgers secured a narrow 2-1 victory, taking an early lead in the best-of-seven series.

“Postseason, if you dominate and you do great, no one can say anything,” Blake remarked after the game, reflecting on the pressures that accompany his lucrative contract. “That’s probably the best feeling is you get to prove yourself right... But at least you get to learn and grow.”

Expressing his excitement about being in this position, he added, “To be here now, it’s a dream come true. I couldn’t wish for anything more. I’m just going to do the best I can to help us win a World Series.”

Teammate Freddie Freeman praised Blake’s performance, stating he couldn’t recall a more dominant postseason outing. “It was from the get-go. It was a masterpiece tonight,” Freeman said. “He’s amazing. There’s a reason he’s a two-time Cy Young Award winner.”

The Brewers, who boasted the best regular-season record in MLB, struggled against Blake’s pitching at American Family Field. “It seemed like he was hitting corners with everything,” commented Brewers second baseman Brice Turang. “He was commanding the zone.”

Brewers center fielder Sal Frelick acknowledged Blake’s skill, noting, “He was definitely on his game tonight... We didn’t do that tonight.”

The Dodgers and Brewers are set to clash again in Game 2 on October 14.
