Colorado Rockies Restructure Front Office Leadership
The Colorado Rockies are undergoing a significant shift in their front office, particularly in executive leadership roles. On Thursday, the team confirmed that Greg Feasel, who has been with the Rockies since 1995 and currently serves as President & Chief Operating Officer, will step down at the conclusion of this season.
In a strategic move, Walker Monfort, previously the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, has been appointed as the new executive vice president of the Rockies, effective immediately. Monfort will work alongside Feasel during this transition period and is set to officially take over his new responsibilities in January 2026.
“Greg has been a pillar of this organization since its earliest days,” stated Dick Monfort, Owner/Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the Rockies. “His leadership and vision have not only shaped the Colorado Rockies but have also influenced the entire baseball community throughout the Rocky Mountain region. His contributions have been vital to our successes over the years.”

Monfort expressed enthusiasm about the transition, emphasizing his commitment to the organization. “While we thank Greg for his impact and service, we are excited to turn the page into our next chapter with Walker,” Dick Monfort added. “He brings a deep understanding of this organization—earned through his 20 years of experience working both within and alongside every department of our operation.”
Feasel reflected on his tenure, stating, “While it is bittersweet to step aside from a job I love, this is something Dick and I have been discussing for a number of years. It has been a privilege to work for this franchise over the last 30 years.” He will remain involved with the ownership group as a limited partner and serve on the Colorado Rockies Foundation board.
Monfort’s leadership experience within the Rockies spans over a decade, during which he has reported directly to Feasel. “Greg has been an outstanding mentor to me and a leader whose dedication to the Rockies has set a strong foundation for all of us to build on,” Walker Monfort stated. “I fully embrace my new responsibilities and will be accountable for positively impacting this organization in both the short and long term.”

He further noted that changes like these present opportunities for evolution within the club. “At my core, I'm a Rockies fan—my goal is to maximize our resources and ultimately put our club in position to compete for a championship,” Monfort concluded.
