Former NFL Star Robert Quinn Arrested for Alleged Hit-and-Run Incident
Former NFL defensive end Robert Quinn, known for his stints with teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles during his 11-year career, found himself in hot water after an alleged hit-and-run incident in South Carolina. The 34-year-old athlete was arrested on January 10 by the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) on charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of a collision with property damage.
The incident unfolded when Quinn's vehicle reportedly collided with a Honda Element, causing a chain reaction that involved a blue Ford F-150 and a purple Chrysler 300. The North Charleston Fire Department responded to the crash at B&N Auto Service on Dorchester Road around 2 a.m., where Quinn was allegedly attempting to flee the scene.
Authorities discovered Quinn in the passenger seat of a Dodge Challenger, with injuries consistent with a recent collision. Despite his injuries, Quinn was described as uncooperative and displaying slurred speech. The driver of the Challenger informed police that Quinn had contacted them to pick him up after leaving a club earlier that night.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle responsible for the collision, a maroon Ford F-150, was registered to Quinn. Surveillance footage indicated that Quinn's vehicle had veered off course, crossed an intersection and a median, ultimately leading to the collision at B&N Auto Service.
This is not the first time Quinn has faced legal trouble related to traffic incidents. Reports indicate that he was previously charged following a multi-vehicle traffic incident in August 2023, adding to his legal woes.
