US Navy Unleashes Drone-Destroying Laser Weapon: Helios in Action

The US Navy has unveiled a remarkable display of military prowess with the firing of its drone-destroying laser weapon, known as Helios. A striking photo released in the US Center for Countermeasures' recent annual report showcases the powerful moment when the high-energy laser was deployed from the USS Preble destroyer out at sea.

The demonstration aimed to validate the functionality and performance of the Helios weapon system, equipped with an Integrated Optical Dazzler and Surveillance system, against an unmanned aerial vehicle target.
