The Convicted Stepdad Claims He Couldn’t Have Molested The Teen, Saying He’s Too Fat And His Junk’s Way Too Small To Even Make It Possible.

A Colorado man, Brandon Robert Berg, 44, has made headlines for his outrageous defense in a sexual abuse case involving his teenage stepdaughter. Berg claimed he could not have possibly committed the heinous acts because he is "too fat" and has "too tiny" genitals. This bizarre assertion came just before he was sentenced to an astonishing 80 years in prison for years of sexual assault, abuse, and branding of the girl, who was just 15 when the abuse began.

Alongside him, his wife, Rebecca Berg, 52, was also convicted for her role in the abuse. The couple's disturbing actions came to light when the now 19-year-old victim bravely reported the abuse to authorities in 2020. She revealed that the abuse had been ongoing since she was a minor, with her mother sometimes participating in the horrific acts.

In a shocking twist, Berg attempted to justify his actions by claiming he was secretly gay, suggesting that this would make him "disinterested" in his stepdaughter. He further argued that his physical condition, specifically the "size of his belly fat and small size of his genitalia," would have made sexual contact impossible. However, prosecutors in Arapahoe County were quick to dismiss these claims, pointing out that DNA evidence found on the victim's underwear and body contradicted his defense.

The investigation revealed a chilling pattern of abuse. The victim was found to have numerous scars, including a four-inch mark inflicted with a fork and the initials "RB," which were branded onto her skin using a heated knife. These acts of violence and control were part of a larger scheme of manipulation and abuse that robbed the young girl of her childhood.

After a thorough trial, Berg was convicted of multiple charges, including sexual assault on a child, aggravated incest, and second-degree assault. His wife received a sentence ranging from four years to life in prison after being found guilty of aggravated incest as well.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Jacob Kremin praised the victim for her courage in coming forward, stating, "She played an instrumental role in preserving evidence." He emphasized that despite the defendants' attempts to present a series of ridiculous excuses, the DNA evidence left no doubt in the jury's mind regarding Berg's guilt.

Assistant District Attorney Ryan Brackley expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, "These defendants robbed a young girl of her teenage years—sexually, physically, and emotionally abusing her." He added that it is appalling for a mother and stepfather to repeatedly abuse someone they were supposed to love and support. While no prison sentence can erase the trauma inflicted on the victim, the hope is that these sentences will provide her with some measure of healing.
