Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos, a prominent figure in the MMA world and a former Bellator competitor who was once romantically linked to Demi Lovato, has sadly passed away.
The news of Vasconcelos' passing was seemingly confirmed by his family through TMZ on Tuesday, October 15. The Brazilian fighter was 38 years old at the time of his death.
Vasconcelos' uncle, Walter Vasconcelos Jr., expressed his grief in a heartfelt message on Facebook, saying, "Very sad your farewell, Guilherme Vasconcelos! And so far from us in the USA. My dear nephew, my consecrated godson, father of little Naomi, much loved son of my sister Elisabete Vasconcelos, partner of his brothers, Breno and Isabela and our extended family who today mourn his premature departure."

He continued, "You pursued your dreams in America as an MMA fighter, Guilherme Bomba, Brazilian champion, but we don’t think that she would also take you on a journey of no return, without any of us around. We were waiting for you to come for Christmas, that will no longer happen. Life is a breath and we wake up to this heartbreaking news. What times we are living in. We are praying for you! May the God who is able to receive you in His infinite mercy and comfort all who have always loved you!"
The cause of Vasconcelos' death remains undisclosed.
Known as "Bomba," Vasconcelos had a successful career across various MMA platforms. His Instagram profile highlighted his achievements as a "fourth degree black belt, professor, fighter, athlete, and artist," in addition to his stints in UFC and TUF. He was also a distinguished national and world champion in Jiu Jitsu.

Devastated fans and followers expressed their sorrow in the comments section of Vasconcelos' Instagram posts. His final post, shared as a Story on Monday, October 14, featured a picture from a Jiu Jitsu studio.
"Our hearts are broken. We love and miss you Bomba!!!!! 💔✨ the sweetest man," one user wrote. Another user conveyed, "Gone too soon 😢 😞 💔 my prayers 🙏🏽 and condolences are with his family and friends."
While Vasconcelos gained recognition for his achievements in the MMA arena, he also garnered attention for his brief relationship with Demi Lovato, 32, in 2017. The pair's romance lasted a few months before they parted ways in May of the same year.
