John Cena, fresh off a victory against Logan Paul at the WWE Clash in Paris, shared an affectionate kiss with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh. The moment unfolded shortly after Cena, 48, secured his win on August 31, as he exited the ring to embrace Shariatzadeh, 36, capturing the attention of fans.
In a video clip circulating on social media, the couple locked lips for several seconds, with Cena tenderly holding her face in his hands. The Wrestling Pics & Clips account on X highlighted the moment with the caption, “JOHN CENA KISSING HIS WIFE.”
Post-match celebrations included interactions with musicians Post Malone and Jelly Roll. Cena was seen sharing a warm embrace with Jelly Roll, who appeared to whisper something into his ear, while Post Malone congratulated him with a handshake, as shown in another video shared online.
The couple's journey began in 2019, culminating in a proposal during a cozy date night at home a year later. Cena recounted the proposal during a February 2024 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, describing it as spontaneous yet beautiful. “I had the ring in my pocket because I was afraid I’d lose it,” he explained. “So I just decided to ask her right then and there.”
Reflecting on the moment, he added, “I would have done it in three months. It might have been a little weird, yes. I don’t want to speak for her, but she didn’t say no when I asked.”

The couple exchanged vows in 2020 and celebrated a second wedding two years later. Following their nuptials, sources indicated that they might be considering starting a family. “He said for so long that he didn’t want kids but now he’s warming to the idea more and more,” an insider revealed in August 2022. “It’s different with Shay; he feels wiser and more ready for the responsibility.”
As Cena prepares to transition from his wrestling career after over two decades, he expressed his intentions to retire from WWE this year. “This is my final year in the WWE. I’m retiring this year,” he stated in June during an interview with Extra. “We’re about halfway through, so I look forward to officially closing the book on in-ring competition. I will forever be an ambassador of the WWE.”
