Jordan Addison Enters No Contest Plea in Reckless Driving Case

Jul 17 2025

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has resolved his legal troubles stemming from a DUI case by pleading no contest to a reckless driving charge on Thursday.

According to court records from Los Angeles County, Addison entered a nolo contendere plea for wet reckless driving on a highway, leading to the dismissal of two DUI charges against him. He was set to face trial this week before opting for the plea.

Following the plea, Addison's legal team announced via social media that the 23-year-old athlete will incur a fine and complete online educational courses. "Over the past year, he voluntarily participated in MADD events and programs and, after reflection, decided to enter this plea understanding the ramifications of this decision," stated Younger & Associates. "He has kept the organization apprised throughout these legal proceedings and will continue in his full commitment to being a valuable member of his team."

On July 12, 2024, authorities discovered Addison asleep at the wheel of a Rolls-Royce on a Los Angeles freeway, prompting the investigation that led to these charges.

Despite resolving this case, Addison may still face disciplinary action from the NFL or the Vikings. He has previously expressed his willingness to accept any consequences that may arise.

Prior to his rookie season, Addison was cited for speeding and reckless driving in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was clocked at 140 mph in a 55 mph zone. He reportedly told a state trooper that he was rushing home due to an emergency involving his dog.

In his two seasons with the Vikings, the former first-round draft pick has recorded 133 receptions for 1,786 yards and 19 touchdowns, showcasing his talent on the field despite recent challenges.
