Despite recovering from wrist surgery, the 18-year-old aspiring golfer is not shying away from stirring the pot at home. In her latest video, titled "My mom answers your questions," aimed at her 1.45 million subscribers, Kai pivoted from cookie decorating to a pointed inquiry about Vanessa's connection with the PGA Tour icon.
As they baked Valentine’s Day cookies, Kai feigned innocence before cornering her mother with a question about the last time she baked cookies, hinting at a deeper motive behind their culinary activity.
While pursuing her dream of joining the LPGA Tour, Kai noted that Charley Hull, a prominent figure in women’s golf, recently won $750k and immediately contacted her carpenter for trophy room upgrades.
"Is love in the air?" Kai asked, flashing a grin before turning away from the camera. Vanessa quickly recognized the probing nature of the question.
"Oh my God. Nice trick question, Kai. Wasn't born yesterday," she replied, laughter escaping as her cheeks flushed. Kai claimed the question was fan-generated, leading to a flurry of online clips.

The surgery targets two critical structures for wrist stability essential for effective golf swings. Instead of retreating from public life, Kai returned to the gym just a week post-surgery, showcasing her commitment through lunges, squats, and modified Pilates while still in a sling.
Doctors typically estimate a recovery period of three to six months for TFCC repairs, but Kai has expressed confidence in her progress. The cookie-baking Q&A also served as a follow-up to her behind-the-scenes rehabilitation journey.
Kai signed her National Letter of Intent in November 2025 and is set to join the University of Miami women’s golf team in fall 2026. If her recovery continues on track, she anticipates being fully cleared before the Hurricanes' season kicks off.
