Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Show 2025: Key Details and Viewing Spots
Prepare for an unforgettable evening as the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks show gears up for its 49th annual celebration. This year, the event promises to dazzle spectators with an impressive display of 80,000 shells, soaring 1,000 feet above the Brooklyn Bridge and East River, a significant increase from last year's 60,000 shells.
With over 30 vibrant colors and patterns set to light up the night sky, attendees can expect 11 new effects, including “crackling crown jellyfish” and “strobing lemon cascades.” The show is scheduled to commence at 8 p.m., with the fireworks illuminating the skyline around 9:45 p.m., lasting approximately 30 minutes.

This year, New Yorkers can look forward to 100,000 complimentary tickets for prime viewing spots at Brooklyn Bridge Park and select areas at Pier 16 and Pier 17 in Manhattan. For those unable to secure tickets, numerous excellent viewing locations are available throughout Manhattan.
The northernmost viewing area will be located on Montgomery Street at Madison Street along the FDR Drive, which will be closed to traffic between the FDR and Grand Street to accommodate the expected crowds. The designated ADA-accessible area is situated in a public park beneath the Manhattan Bridge, offering 2.52 acres for guests to enjoy the festivities. Access is available via Pike Street and Cherry Street.

For a close-up experience, spectators can gather between Pearl and South Street, just below the Brooklyn Bridge. This area will provide an unobstructed view of the fireworks as they launch from the iconic structure. The NYPD will close several surrounding roads, including Frankfort Street and Fulton Street, ensuring ample space for attendees.
The southernmost designated viewing area will be located between Water and South streets, just a block from the waterfront, making it one of the closest spots to the barges from which the fireworks will be launched. Macy's has confirmed that pyrotechnics will reach heights of 1,000 feet, creating stunning visuals that promise to leave a lasting impression.

In addition to the fireworks, a lineup of notable performers will take the stage as opening acts. Lenny Kravitz, Keke Palmer, Trisha Yearwood, and the Jonas Brothers are among those scheduled to perform, alongside pop sensation Ava Max and country star Eric Church. The event will be hosted by Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose.
For those unable to attend in person, the entire spectacular display will be streamed live on NBC and Peacock, ensuring that everyone can partake in this iconic celebration.
