Sauce Gardner Shares Insights on Relationship with Ice Spice

NFL player Sauce Gardner recently provided a glimpse into his relationship with rapper Ice Spice during an interview.

When approached by reporters regarding the status of their relationship, Gardner, 24, responded with a casual, “We cool.” His reluctance to elaborate further was evident as he stated, “I ain’t trying to speak too much on it. We cool, though… We having a good time.”

Gardner emphasized their shared backgrounds, noting, “She from New York, I play in New York. She real talented when it come to what she do. Same thing for me. Two people that get hated on, that’s really good at what we do.”

The two first crossed paths while filming an episode of LeBron James’ show “The Shop,” which featured other notable figures like Travis Scott and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. “That’s definitely when we first seen each other in person,” Gardner recalled, adding uncertainty about whether they had met prior.

These comments come nearly two months after the couple made their relationship Instagram official. In April, Ice Spice posted a mirror selfie featuring both of them in a bathroom, showcasing her in a pink hoodie and Gardner in a white sweatsuit. This post has since been removed. Earlier that month, Gardner had shared a photo of them next to a Rolls-Royce, which he later deleted as well.

Drafted by the New York Jets in 2022, Gardner’s rise in the NFL coincided with Ice Spice’s growing fame. In 2024, she spoke about cheering for Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, during the Super Bowl. Swift attended the event with several celebrity friends as the Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers.

Following the Super Bowl, Ice Spice appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where Fallon played a clip of Swift seemingly explaining something to her. When asked if she was confused, Ice Spice candidly admitted, “I was incredibly confused. I’m still confused.” Reflecting on her football knowledge that day, she remarked, “That day I had a sense of knowing, but it just went away,” adding that she would wait for Swift to cheer before joining in.
