Tom Holland and Carlos Alcaraz Plan Golf Outing in Adorable Encounter

Jul 08 2025

Hours before his highly anticipated quarterfinal match at Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz found himself chatting with actor Tom Holland near the practice courts. The 22-year-old tennis sensation, gearing up for his showdown against Cam Norrie, took a moment to acknowledge Holland's golfing skills.

“Tom, I saw you playing golf as well,” Alcaraz remarked, complimenting Holland’s swing in a video shared by Wimbledon. The 29-year-old actor, known for his role as Spider-Man, quickly responded with enthusiasm, “We should play!”

As their conversation unfolded, Holland promised to share his phone number with Alcaraz to arrange a tee time. “For sure,” Alcaraz replied, giving a thumbs up as Holland walked away, clearly excited about the prospect of their future golf outing.

Holland’s passion for sports is well-documented; he has been a regular at Wimbledon over the years. Last May, he and his fiancée, Zendaya, were spotted enjoying the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California. The actor’s connection to tennis runs deep—he attended Wimbledon College, located just two miles from the iconic All England Club.

Golf also holds a special place in Holland’s heart. Recently, he shared a video on Instagram showcasing a fun day out on the golf course with friends. “Nothing but good times,” he captioned the post. In an interview with Golf Digest earlier this year, Holland discussed how golf has played a significant role in his professional life.

“I think golf has been really helpful for me in terms of networking within the industry because it’s a very golf-heavy business,” he explained. He recounted a memorable moment when he secured a deal point during a negotiation while playing golf: “I met the producer I was negotiating with on a par 3. I stuck it closer than he did and won the deal point.”

Holland also shared insights into how golf has positively impacted his personal life. “Golf keeps me out of trouble,” he noted, emphasizing its role in his sobriety journey. “I think getting sober was a big reason why my handicap got better because I would go to bed early and strive to wake up and shoot low scores.”

Reflecting on his evolving schedule, Holland acknowledged that balancing work and golf can be challenging. “It’s something I took into account for sure,” he said. “My game will take a hit, but I need to work, so it is what it is.”

As both stars prepare for their respective commitments—Alcaraz on the tennis court and Holland in the film industry—their budding friendship over golf promises to be an exciting development for fans of both sports and entertainment.
