Aaron Rodgers Confirms Marriage at Steelers Minicamp
Aaron Rodgers donned a black wedding band while practicing with the Pittsburgh Steelers on June 11, signaling a significant personal milestone. The 41-year-old quarterback confirmed he had married “a couple months ago” during a media session at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.
Photographers captured the ring as he threw passes, but it was his later admission that truly caught attention. Although he refrained from disclosing his wife’s identity, he previously mentioned a relationship with someone named Brittani during an appearance on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show in December 2024.
“I used to enjoy a little outing over to the Bay Park mall in Wisconsin every now and then, but I actually ordered all of [my Christmas gifts] online this year,” Rodgers shared back then. “I was a little worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend, Brittani, that hadn’t showed up yet.”
AJ Hawk, cohost of The Pat McAfee Show, humorously probed Rodgers about rumors linking him to pop star Britney Spears. “Not Britney Spears, this is Brittani with an ‘I,’” he clarified, adding, “It’s a good feeling, boys.”
Speculation about Rodgers’ marital status began in May when he was seen wearing the wedding band publicly. Hawk later confirmed on the show that he had attended a party with the couple at the Kentucky Derby. “It was not a wedding party from what we knew,” Hawk stated, acknowledging Rodgers’ penchant for privacy regarding personal matters.
Rodgers has a history of high-profile relationships, including Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017 and an engagement to Shailene Woodley that ended in 2022. He also dated NASCAR driver Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020.
Recently, Patrick opened up about their breakup on “The Sage Steele Show” podcast, describing Rodgers as “emotionally abusive” and stating that their relationship “wore [her] down to nothing.”
“You know, when you live with somebody and it’s like your whole life,” Patrick reflected. “It’s your dentist appointment, it’s your hairdo, it’s your clothes, it’s your mailing address. It’s like everything.”
She expressed feeling as if her life was “torn to bits” before their split and accused Rodgers of leaving a “trail of blood” after their breakup. While Rodgers has not publicly responded to these comments, he previously described his time with Patrick positively during an August 2022 interview on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast.”
“I was dating Danica and that relationship was great for me because she is on her own journey and spirituality is important to her,” he noted. “We both were finding our way, learning about different things [and] practicing meditation techniques.”
Rodgers’ marriage announcement came shortly after the NFL confirmed his one-year, $13.6 million contract with the Steelers on June 7. “For my ego, I don’t need it to keep playing,” he remarked at minicamp. “A lot of decisions that I’ve made over my career and life from strictly the ego—even if they turn out well—are always unfulfilling. But the decisions made from the soul are usually pretty fulfilling.”
He concluded by expressing enthusiasm for his new chapter with the Steelers: “So this was a decision that was best for my soul. I felt like being here with Coach T. [Mike Tomlin] and the guys they got here and the opportunity here was best for me. I’m excited to be here.”
