Atlanta Dream Defeats Dallas Wings with Strong Performance

Alisha Gray's impressive 27-point performance propelled the Atlanta Dream to an 83-75 victory against the Dallas Wings on Saturday. Brionna Jones contributed significantly with a double-double, scoring 11 points and securing 15 rebounds, while Brittney Griner added 15 points to the Dream's tally.

Rhyne Howard also made her mark, dishing out 10 assists as Atlanta improved to a 2-2 record. The team showcased their offensive prowess by distributing 23 assists on 29 made baskets, achieving a shooting percentage of 42.6% from the field on 68 attempts.

For Dallas, NaLyssa Smith led the scoring with 13 points, while Maddy Siegrist and Paige Bueckers contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Wings struggled offensively, with their starters shooting just 27.6% (13 for 47) and finishing the game with an overall shooting percentage of 36.6% (30 for 82).

Siegrist briefly gave Dallas a lead at 26-24 with just over four minutes remaining in the first half. However, Griner quickly equalized with a layup, followed by Gray's two free throws, igniting a pivotal 13-4 run that allowed Atlanta to close the half ahead at 37-30.

Jones extended the Dream's lead to double digits early in the third quarter with a layup, making it 45-35. Atlanta maintained control throughout the game, entering the fourth quarter with a commanding 68-50 advantage.

Despite a late surge from Dallas, which included a 15-2 run that narrowed the gap to 70-56 with just over five minutes left, they were unable to overcome the deficit.
