Cardi B Reveals Alleged Text Message from Chef Involved in Stefon Diggs Scandal

Jan 06 2026

Cardi B took to social media to share an alleged text message from a woman who accused her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, of assault. The message, which has since been deleted, expressed regret and requested communication through a mediator.

“I’m sooo sorry, I can’t talk to you, I didn’t say that especially in the way it was written,” the message reportedly stated. “Please contact my mediator and she will answer anything you need to know. But only in person and confidently.” This text followed serious allegations made by the woman, who had been employed as Diggs’ personal chef, claiming he strangled her during a dispute over finances.

In response, Cardi B posted a fiery statement alongside the text image, also deleted shortly after. “Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!!” she asserted. “We was talking every single day until she left that house and she JUST wrote me this... I want all y’all talkin s*** on your f***in knees with apologies just as loud the way y’all been harassing over a lie… and I put that on my two-month-old son in the name of the lord!! That’s how confident I am.”

The allegations against Diggs surfaced on December 30, when he was charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault related to the incident that allegedly occurred on December 2 at his residence.

Interestingly, the police report referred to Diggs’ “girlfriend,” leading to speculation about Cardi’s involvement. The chef reported receiving voicemail and text messages from someone she believed to be Diggs’ girlfriend, suggesting that the situation was being downplayed.

“The messages stated something to the effect of ‘you don’t need to do all this. It’s not that big of a deal,’” the report indicated.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have been linked romantically since late 2024, welcoming their first child together in November. As the controversy unfolded, Us Weekly reached out to Cardi’s legal team for comments.

Diggs’ attorney, David Meier, firmly denied the allegations in a statement released on December 30. He described them as “unsubstantiated, uncorroborated and were never investigated — because they did not occur.” He further claimed that the allegations stemmed from an unresolved financial dispute between employer and employee.

Despite the charges, Diggs returned to play on January 4 during the Patriots’ regular season finale against the Miami Dolphins. The franchise expressed its support for him amidst the ongoing legal issues.

“Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon,” the team stated on December 30. They pledged to cooperate fully with authorities while respecting the ongoing legal matter.
