Baltimore's Charm City Live is set to electrify the city with a vibrant lineup of R&B artists this September. The one-day music festival, which debuted in 2022, promises an exciting mix of renowned performers, delectable food options, and local vendors.
Scheduled for September 20 from noon to 9 p.m., the festival will take place at War Memorial Plaza, transforming the heart of Baltimore into a lively celebration.
This year's lineup features three prominent headliners: singer-songwriter Jeffrey Osborne, R&B sensation Lucky Daye, and the multifaceted artist The-Dream. These co-headliners are expected to draw music enthusiasts from across the region.
Charm City Live is designed to be a family-friendly event, welcoming music lovers of all ages. Since its inception, the festival has gained traction, with each year bringing larger crowds and more impressive performances.
In addition to the musical acts, attendees can look forward to a city agency job fair and various activities for children, alongside a showcase of local businesses and culinary delights.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott emphasized the festival's role in uniting residents from diverse backgrounds. "It was really about bringing all walks of life in Baltimore together, downtown in the heart of the city, to celebrate the best of our city," he remarked last year, reflecting on the festival's inception during challenging times.
Charm City Live was added to Baltimore's event calendar prior to the establishment of Artscape, further enriching the city's cultural offerings. Last year, hip-hop icons Method Man and Redman, along with singer Monica, headlined the festival.
Scott described Charm City Live as a culmination of other local summer events, including AFRAM, which attracted over 200,000 attendees in June. The festival continues to be a significant highlight in Baltimore's annual event lineup.
As anticipation builds for this year's festivities, local media outlets are gearing up to cover the event, ensuring that Charm City Live remains a focal point of community celebration.
