Dallas Trinity FC to Host International Friendly Match at State Fair
On October 18, 2025, the Cotton Bowl will transform into a hub for international soccer as Dallas Trinity FC, the city's inaugural professional women's soccer team, hosts a friendly match.
The specifics regarding the opponent for this match remain undisclosed, with further details expected to be announced in the coming months.
"We're excited to partner with the State Fair of Texas to bring international soccer to the Cotton Bowl," stated Trip Neil, founder and chief operating officer of Dallas Trinity FC.
As one of eight teams in the newly established USL Super League, Dallas Trinity FC has made the Cotton Bowl its home ground.
Karissa Condoianis, Senior Vice President of Public Relations for the State Fair of Texas, emphasized the fair's mission: "At the heart of the State Fair of Texas's mission is bringing people from all walks of life together through quality entertainment, creating a sense of community. Our partnership with Dallas Trinity FC brings an exciting new element to the Fair experience, offering guests the chance to witness world-class soccer in an iconic venue."
In addition to this new soccer event, traditional college football games will also take place during the fair. The Texas Longhorns will clash with the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Showdown just a week before Dallas Trinity FC's match. Additionally, on September 27, during the fair's opening weekend, the Prairie View A&M Panthers will compete against the Grambling State Tigers.
This collaboration marks a significant step for both Dallas Trinity FC and the State Fair, aiming to enhance the cultural and entertainment offerings of this beloved annual event.
