Ex-TV Weatherman Josh Fitzpatrick Charged with Secretly Recording Sex Tape and Extortion
Former TV weatherman Josh Fitzpatrick has been arrested on serious charges, including allegedly filming a secret sex tape and threatening to release it. Authorities have raised concerns that there may be additional victims involved in this troubling case.

Fitzpatrick, who previously worked at 29News in Charlottesville, Virginia, is accused of secretly recording his accuser during what was described as a "consensual sexual encounter." The alleged victim reported the incident to the police back in February, claiming that the 42-year-old meteorologist had subsequently "extorted and threatened" them regarding the release of the footage.

Following the initiation of the investigation, Fitzpatrick moved to Ohio. Law enforcement in Ohio apprehended him on Tuesday, with assistance from local authorities.
He now faces charges of sexual extortion and unlawful creation of an image of another person. Currently in custody, Fitzpatrick is awaiting extradition back to Virginia. Police have cautioned that he may have more victims and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

His former employer acknowledged the arrest but did not issue a formal statement. Reports indicate that Fitzpatrick left his position at the TV station in early March.
