Diddy Racked Up $1K Hotel Damage Bill Over Excessive Oil Use

May 22 2025

Sean “Diddy” Combs racked up a hefty $1,000 bill at a luxury Beverly Hills hotel, primarily due to his penchant for leaving rooms in disarray with baby oil and candle wax, as revealed in court testimony on Thursday.

Frédéric Zemmour, the hotel’s general manager, disclosed that Combs’ stays necessitated deep cleaning, with rooms often marked “out of order” because of the “excessive amounts of oil” and frequent spills of candle wax. Internal notes from L’Ermitage hotel indicated that the situation was so severe that staff had to authorize an additional charge for damages.

“Please authorize an extra $1,000 when guest stays with us to cover any room damage,” the hotel’s profile for Combs stated, highlighting the ongoing issues during his visits.

This information emerged during a federal trial in Manhattan, where Combs is embroiled in serious allegations related to sex trafficking and racketeering, linked to his extravagant lifestyle and controversial parties.

Hotel records from January 10, 2010, noted “large deposits of candle wax on carpets, in the living room area and on the night stands in bedroom area,” leading to a $500 charge for damages. Staff also reported unusual odors emanating from his rooms, prompting them to monitor the area closely.

“Pls monitor outside his rm / down the hall to spray air freshener,” one note read, indicating the extent of the situation. The notes also mentioned Combs’ preference for a “HOT!” room temperature.

Earlier in the proceedings, celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales recounted a violent incident in 2010 involving Combs and his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. She described how Combs entered their hotel room demanding to know Ventura’s whereabouts, leading to a confrontation that left Ventura with visible injuries.

Morales testified that after the altercation, she took a “distraught” Ventura home and called a doctor friend who confirmed there was no concussion. Morales refrained from contacting law enforcement due to fears for her safety.

The trial concluded for the day with Judge Arun Subramanian advising jurors to refrain from discussing the case over the holiday weekend, even suggesting they watch the Knicks play instead. “Watch the Knicks avenge their Game 1 loss,” he quipped, referencing their recent playoff defeat.

As jurors departed, prosecutors announced their next witness would be Capricorn Clark, an assistant who has worked with both Combs and rapper Kid Cudi. Subramanian expressed hope that the trial could conclude by July 4, although prosecutors indicated they expect to take six weeks to present their case against Combs.

Combs, now 55 years old, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, facing potential life imprisonment if convicted.
