Florida Nurse Loses Medical License After Husband Catches Her With 15-Year-Old Stepson
A Florida nurse being allegedly caught in a compromising situation with her 15-year-old stepson. The shocking incident has led to the revocation of her medical license, as she awaits trial for the alleged statutory rape that took place last July.
Alexis Von Yates, 35, had her nursing license revoked last week by the Florida Department of Health. This decision comes as she faces serious criminal charges related to the incident, which reportedly occurred while her stepson was visiting his father in Ocala, Florida, for summer vacation.
The Florida Department of Health emphasized the importance of trust in the nursing profession, stating, “Nurses are placed in a position of trust. Therefore, it is imperative that they demonstrate good judgment and good moral character.” The department's order highlighted that Yates’ actions indicated a severe lack of both judgment and moral character necessary for a registered nurse.
According to a Marion County arrest affidavit, the events unfolded on the night of July 26, 2024. After putting her two children to bed, Yates spent time with her stepson on the living room couch. The two reportedly indulged in a THC vape, played video games, and watched movies while his father was working late.
As the night progressed, Yates turned on the horror film “Terrorizer 2” and allegedly made suggestive comments, claiming the movie was boring and expressing her own sexual frustration, stating she hadn’t had sex in two weeks and was on her period. This led to a series of intimate interactions between the two, culminating in kissing and sexual activity.
Yates reportedly told her stepson, “I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough,” before they engaged in sexual acts without protection. The situation took a dramatic turn when the boy’s father returned home from work to find them both naked on the couch. The shocked father immediately took his son to his grandparents’ house, expressing his anger and disappointment during the drive.
Prior to the alleged sexual encounter, Yates had reportedly engaged in several flirtatious behaviors towards her stepson. Witnesses noted that she made suggestive comments at the gym, referring to him as her “little boy toy” and even playfully teasing him with whipped cream.
In the days leading up to the incident, Yates allegedly spoke openly about her sexual desires, further blurring the lines of appropriate behavior. The day after the incident, she reportedly called her stepson, expressing regret that they had been caught and even asking him to rate her sexual performance.
The situation came to light when a concerned family member reported the incident to the authorities, as the boy’s father had not taken immediate action. Yates was arrested in November and is now facing charges of felony lewd or lascivious battery involving a victim aged 12 to 16. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
