Northwestern Wildcats Football Camp Begins Preparations for Upcoming Season

Northwestern University’s football team has officially commenced training camp, intensifying preparations for the season opener on August 30.

The Wildcats will face Tulane in New Orleans to kick off their season. This year, the team welcomes SMU graduate transfer Preston Stone as their new quarterback, a pivotal role as they aim to improve their performance.

After a challenging second season under head coach David Braun, which resulted in a 4-8 record and only two wins in the Big Ten, optimism remains. Stone expressed confidence in joining a talented roster poised for a resurgence.

Fans can look forward to the Wildcats' home opener on September 5 against Western Illinois. This game marks one of the final opportunities to experience the makeshift lakefront stadium before the team returns to the newly renovated Ryan Field.
