Wedding preparations are in full swing for Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, with reports indicating a ceremony could occur as early as this weekend.
The Associated Press revealed on May 27 that the couple's nuptials are “scheduled to take place over one of the next two weekends.” However, the exact date remains under wraps, as an unnamed source familiar with the situation chose to keep details vague.
In a slip of the tongue during a live appearance on NFL Network, Allen’s teammate Dion Dawkins hinted that the couple has chosen Saturday, May 31, for their wedding day.
This timing aligns well with the Bills’ offseason schedule, which includes OTA workouts from May 27 to 29, June 2 to 3, and June 5, leading up to mandatory minicamp starting June 10.
Allen, now 29, and Steinfeld, 28, became engaged in November 2024 during the Bills' bye week after dating for over a year. A source previously disclosed to Us Weekly that the couple is eager to avoid a lengthy engagement.
“The wedding planning is already underway,” the insider noted. “Hailee is very excited about the planning process and now that Josh is done with the season, she hopes they can have more time to make decisions together.”
While Allen has kept a low profile recently, Steinfeld has been busy this summer, starring in the box office hit Sinners. The couple is currently finalizing logistics and scouting locations for what is expected to be an intimate yet extravagant event.
“They only have a few timeframes they can have the wedding,” the source added. “It will be a very intimate but extravagant event.”
This preference for privacy reflects how Allen and Steinfeld have approached their relationship. They made their red carpet debut only recently at the NFL Honors in February, months after their engagement.
The couple reportedly hit it off immediately after meeting at an event in 2023 and later connected online. “They were very serious from the beginning and knew each other was a good match,” the source said. “Josh loves Hailee’s sense of humor, and she keeps him grounded.
