A Tennessee man is facing serious charges after allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old boy he discovered in bed with his wife. Jonathan Belk, 41, is accused of killing Billy Jean Floyd early Saturday morning, following a shocking confrontation at their home.

According to police reports, Belk returned home to find his 31-year-old wife, Jada Gholston, in bed with Floyd, who had just celebrated his 18th birthday three days prior. The situation escalated quickly, leading to a violent altercation that left Floyd dead and Gholston hospitalized with multiple stab wounds.

Authorities found Floyd's body concealed in a garbage can at Gholston's residence in Dunlap. Initially, Gholston claimed that a “man had jumped on her boyfriend while they were in bed,” but the truth soon unraveled when police arrived on the scene.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered Belk “standing in his doorway covered in blood” with visible cuts on his hands. It was only then that they learned he was the husband of the woman involved.

In a chilling revelation, Belk expressed concern about the impact of his actions on his marriage, reportedly stating, “I am worried about my relationship with my wife due to the fact that I offed him.” His focus on his relationship amidst such a tragic event has raised eyebrows.

Belk is currently being held on charges of criminal homicide, with a bond hearing set for March 21. The community is still reeling from the incident, as Floyd, affectionately known as “Lil Bill,” was remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends, according to his obituary.

Sequatchie County Sheriff Bill Phillips reassured the public that this incident appears to be isolated, stating there is “no reason to believe anybody else is in danger.” The investigation continues as the community grapples with the aftermath of this tragic event.
