Florida couple caught having sex on grave inside locked historic cemetery in shocking ‘boneyard’ scandal.
A Florida couple was arrested after being caught in a rather unconventional rendezvous—on top of a grave in a historic cemetery. The incident occurred at Wild Cow Prairie Cemetery in Bushnell on March 26, when authorities discovered Joseph Luke Brown, 38, and Stephanie Kay Wegman, 46, engaging in activities better suited for the living.
According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the couple had parked Wegman’s Nissan near the entrance of the locked cemetery, which is home to graves dating back to 1850. They then made their way to the back of the cemetery, where they were spotted by a police officer. The officer initially noticed the vehicle with its windows down and no one around, raising suspicions.

Upon interrupting the couple's escapade, law enforcement discovered a stash of illegal substances in the car, including methamphetamine, Xanax, and Oxycodone. Wegman was promptly arrested on drug charges and taken to county jail, while Brown was transported to a hospital due to a preexisting leg injury.
Authorities indicated that a warrant would be sought for Brown, although the specific charges he may face remain unclear. The cemetery, which last saw a burial in 1924, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021, making the couple's choice of location even more controversial.
This unusual incident has sparked conversations about public decency and the respect owed to historical sites. As the story continues to circulate, it serves as a reminder of the unexpected situations that can arise in the most unlikely places.
