Jahdae Barron Calls Out Travis Kelce with Taylor Swift Reference
The Denver Broncos secured a victory against the Kansas City Chiefs on November 16, marking the Chiefs' fifth loss this season. Following the game, Broncos cornerback Jahdae Barron took to social media to make a pointed remark about Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, invoking the name of Kelce's fiancée, Taylor Swift.
On November 19, Barron shared an image on Instagram showcasing himself tackling Kelce. Accompanying the photo, he wrote, “Tell Swift put me on a song…RIGHT NOW,” a clear jab that quickly caught the attention of fans.
Although Barron later deleted the post, it had already sparked significant reactions online. Swift's dedicated fanbase, known as Swifties, responded with fervor, sharing screenshots across various platforms. One user quipped, “If he’s not afraid of the Swifties he should be. Good luck to him,” while another chimed in with a reference to Swift’s song “The Smallest Man That’s Ever Lived” from her upcoming album.

In response to the backlash, Barron posted again on his Instagram Story, stating, “Y’all trolling on my phone. I’m trying to be an artist; I just want some help.” This comment hinted at his desire for support rather than conflict.
Despite the Broncos' win, Kelce had a standout performance, recording nine receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, which made him the all-time leading touchdown scorer for the Chiefs. Reflecting on this achievement during a podcast episode with his brother Jason, Kelce acknowledged that the milestone felt bittersweet due to the team's loss. “It’s an honor, man,” he said. “But right now it’s soured because it’s coming off a f***ing loss.”
Kelce expressed gratitude for his career and the opportunities it has afforded him. “When you come into work with the right mindset and right attitude... you start to pile up some stats,” he noted, emphasizing his love for the game even after more than a decade in the league.
Off the field, Kelce is busy planning his wedding to Swift. The couple began dating in 2023 and got engaged in August. A source revealed that both are heavily involved in the wedding preparations and are eager to start a family soon. “They don’t want a long engagement and very much want to start a family in the next year or so,” the source stated.
Another insider described their relationship as refreshingly simple, saying, “Sometimes they’re in sweats, eating takeout. It’s not what you’d expect.” This down-to-earth dynamic contrasts sharply with public perceptions of celebrity life.
