Model and actress Jena Sims is navigating the complexities of family life with her husband, professional golfer Brooks Koepka, and their young son, Crew. The couple, who married in June 2022, are embracing the challenges of parenthood while maintaining their individual careers.
Sims, who appears alongside Koepka in the newly released 'Happy Gilmore 2' on Netflix, emphasized the importance of communication regarding their family goals. “Before we decided to have children, I made it clear that I would continue working and pursuing my passions,” she stated. “I think many women feel pressured to choose between motherhood and their careers, but I refuse to live that way.”
Her perspective on motherhood is refreshing. “For many women, being a mom is the ultimate goal, and I respect that,” Sims noted. “But I want to have a fulfilling life beyond just being a mother.” This mindset has fostered a supportive partnership with Koepka, who appreciates her ambitions. “He finds it attractive that I have my own life,” she added.
Despite their busy schedules, which include Koepka's high-profile golf career and Sims' modeling and acting commitments, the couple has found a rhythm. “Things have actually gotten easier since Crew was born,” Sims explained. “We work well as a team and are good at delegating tasks.”

Koepka’s ability to sense when Sims is overwhelmed has proven invaluable. “If I’m stressed, he steps in without hesitation—whether it’s changing a diaper or handling bedtime,” she said. “He doesn’t have to do it all, but he chooses to.”
Reflecting on her journey, Sims remarked, “I didn’t marry Brooks until I was 33; I wasn’t settling for anything less than what I wanted.” Their shared priorities contribute to a strong marriage, though she humorously acknowledged the less glamorous aspects of parenting. “Some days, I’m just in survival mode with Crew—no shower for days, juggling gymnastics classes and meal battles,” she laughed. “Other times, I’m strutting down the runway during Swim Week in Miami.”
This balance keeps their lives dynamic. “We’re both independent people; I’m a secret introvert who cherishes my alone time,” Sims shared. “We’ve figured out how to make it all work.”
In 'Happy Gilmore 2,' Sims portrays an enthusiastic fan of Screech (Fernando Marrero), part of a rival golf team aiming to challenge Gilmore’s (Adam Sandler) squad. Koepka plays for Gilmore’s team, adding a personal touch to the film.

Sims’ role marks a return to the screen nearly 15 years after her appearance as an extra in Sandler’s 2011 film 'Just Go With It.' “I was just a random girl in the crowd at a rooftop bar scene,” she recalled with a chuckle. “I probably tried not to be noticed at all.”
