Chivalry is alive and well, as demonstrated by NFL quarterback Justin Herbert during a recent Lakers game. On October 24, while seated courtside at Crypto.com Arena for the matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Herbert sprang into action when a stray basketball rolled toward his girlfriend, pop star Madison Beer.
With quick reflexes, Herbert batted the ball away, averting what could have been an awkward moment for Beer. The incident, captured on video, quickly gained traction on social media, showcasing the couple's affectionate demeanor throughout the game. This outing marked their first public appearance since dating rumors began circulating in August.

Although neither Herbert, 27, nor Beer, 26, has officially commented on their relationship, they were seen sharing a kiss on the sidelines during a Chargers game against the Washington Commanders on October 5. Their connection reportedly began in August, highlighted by Herbert's visit to Beer on the set of her music video for "Bittersweet."
On October 20, Beer released the music video for "Bittersweet," the lead single from her upcoming album "Locket," set to debut on January 16. In an Instagram post dated October 22, she expressed her excitement: "Locket, my new album, will be yours 1.16. I really can’t believe I’m sayin’ this. This album means the world to me..."
Beer described "Locket" as a collection of songs that reflect a "real roller-coaster." In a recent interview with Vogue, she elaborated on the album's emotional depth: "There are songs that are upbeat but still emotional... I got a lot of inspiration from songs off my last album that really didn’t perform all that well in regards to streams." Her experiences on tour have shaped her confidence in her music's resonance with audiences.
Herbert's performance leading up to the game was noteworthy; he had just led the Chargers to a decisive 37-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on October 23, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns. Following the game, he remarked, "It was a big win for us, a big opportunity for us to correct some more mistakes." With a current record of 5-3, the Chargers are gearing up to face the Tennessee Titans on November 2.

Despite his rising fame, Herbert maintains a level of privacy regarding his personal life. In a 2021 interview with ESPN, he stated, "I think the less people know about me, the better. I don’t want to read an article about myself."
