Klay Thompson Celebrates Megan Thee Stallion at NYC Gala

Klay Thompson beamed with pride as he attended the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City on July 16, alongside his girlfriend, Megan Thee Stallion. This event marked a public confirmation of their relationship.

Megan, 30, established the nonprofit organization in 2022 to assist women, children, seniors, and underserved communities, particularly in her hometown of Houston. The gala at Gotham Hall served as a tribute to her late parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas.

Thompson, 35, expressed his admiration for Megan during an exclusive interview, stating, “It feels incredible because Megan is such a special person and she inspires so many around the world. I’ve seen it firsthand. This is just another incredible feat of hers to be able to give back, create a foundation, and raise a ton of money for those in need. And I’m honored to be here by her side.”

Reflecting on her parents, the four-time NBA champion remarked, “I would have loved to meet Holly and Joe. I know both of them would be so proud of their only daughter because of what she’s been able to accomplish and what she’s going to continue to do. She has never been put in a box and continues to inspire so many people around the world.”

Megan shared her thoughts on Thompson’s compatibility with her family. “I feel like my mom would’ve been like, ‘Wow, you finally picked a nice man!’ We kissed a lot of frogs, but now we got a real prince! I feel like they would be very proud. My dad would be very happy,” she said.

Earlier this week, Thompson appeared to confirm their relationship on Instagram by posting a photo that featured Megan from behind. Speculation about their romance began on July 10 when Megan shared a picture that included Thompson in the background.

Thompson recently signed a three-year contract worth $50 million with the Mavericks after spending 13 seasons with the Warriors. His previous relationships include actresses Laura Harrier and Coco Jones.

Megan was last linked to professional basketball player Torrey Craig, whom she was seen with during New York Fashion Week in September 2024. She also dated rapper Pardison Fontaine from 2021 to 2023.
