Knicks Fans Compete in Jalen Brunson Look-Alike Contest for Playoff Tickets
Knicks fans gathered in Manhattan on Monday for a unique competition: a Jalen Brunson look-alike contest. The event, held just across from Madison Square Garden, featured over a dozen participants vying for tickets to the upcoming playoff game.

The winner, Zachary Davidson, bore a striking resemblance to the star point guard. His prize? Tickets to New York’s next home playoff game later this week, a highly coveted reward as prices soar on the secondary market.

Davidson, a lifelong Knicks supporter, shared that since Brunson joined the team from the Dallas Mavericks in 2022, he has frequently been compared to the player by strangers on the street. “I get stopped on the street every five seconds telling me I look like Jalen,” he remarked. “I had 100 [direct messages on social media] telling me I look like Jalen, so you know I had to show up.”

The contest was organized by Last Take Show, an online sports comedy platform, and sponsored by the sports betting app Novig. Notably, Josh Hart, Brunson’s teammate, made a cameo via FaceTime to assist in selecting the winner after the Knicks’ recent victory over the Pacers.

Matt Hillman, known as Matty Ice and host of the Roommates Show alongside Brunson and Hart, facilitated the event and helped narrow down the finalists. Davidson’s uncanny likeness ultimately secured him the top spot among the remaining contestants.

Excited about his first visit to Madison Square Garden, Davidson plans to bring a friend along for the game. “I’m feeling confident, coming off [the Game 3] win, I think we’re gonna do well,” he expressed. “And you gotta keep the faith, gotta keep hope alive.”

Another contestant, who identified himself only as Jeff, shared his optimism for the Knicks’ chances in the series. “Knicks in six,” he declared. “Defense finally showed up late last night and that’s gonna continue on, I think.”
As anticipation builds, New York prepares to face Indiana for Game 4 on Tuesday night at 8 p.m., aiming to even the series.
