NASCAR 2025 Chicago Street Race: Street Closures Begin Thursday

Starting Thursday, street closures will impact Grant Park and surrounding areas as preparations for the 2025 NASCAR Chicago Street Race ramp up.

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on June 19, Balbo Drive will be fully closed from Columbus to Lake Shore Drive. Additionally, "no parking" signs will be enforced along both sides of Columbus Drive between Jackson and Balbo.

On Friday, curb lanes on Columbus Drive will also close at the same time, further restricting access in the area.

As the race weekend approaches, street closures will increase in frequency and duration. Some closures will be temporary, lasting only a few days, while others will remain in effect until the conclusion of the race and festival.
