Oilers Surge Ahead in Series with 4-1 Victory Over Stars

May 28 2025

In a decisive matchup, the Edmonton Oilers triumphed over the Dallas Stars 4-1 on Tuesday night, propelling themselves to a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference finals. Corey Perry's power play goal broke the tie in the second period, while goaltender Stuart Skinner showcased his skills with 28 saves.

Perry's performance included both a goal and an assist, contributing significantly to the Oilers' success. Leon Draisaitl also capitalized on a power play opportunity, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins facilitated the offense with two assists. The Oilers now stand on the brink of advancing to the Stanley Cup Final, needing just one more win in Game 5, scheduled for Thursday night in Dallas.

For the Stars, Jason Robertson managed to score during a power play in the second period, but it wasn't enough to shift momentum. Jake Oettinger, the Dallas goaltender, recorded 29 saves throughout the game.

As the clock wound down, Kasperi Kapanen and Adam Henrique sealed the victory for Edmonton with empty-net goals in the final three minutes. However, the game took a toll on the Oilers as Zach Hyman, who had scored twice in Game 3, exited early due to a hit from Mason Marchment and did not return.
