Patrick and Brittany Mahomes traded the football field for the softball diamond, stepping out to support Texas Tech University during Game 2 of the 2025 Women’s College World Series on June 5.
Cheering for the Red Raiders, the couple fulfilled a promise made by Patrick, 29, who had previously sent a congratulatory gift to the team for their first-ever tournament appearance. “You got a gift from your No. 1 fan, Patrick Mahomes,” head coach Gerry Glasco announced in a video shared on June 4, showcasing customized Adidas jackets and sneakers. “The goal is he’s trying to get here in person before this series is over.”
Taking a break from their busy parenting schedule with three young children—Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and Golden, just 4 months—the Mahomes enjoyed a night out at Devon Park in Oklahoma. The couple, married in 2022, donned team colors; Patrick wore a Texas Tech jersey while Brittany opted for a red T-shirt and a stylish black-and-white baseball cap.
In an interview with ESPN during the game, Patrick expressed his enthusiasm for the team. “First off, I love Texas Tech and everything Texas Tech’s about,” he said. “To have [pitcher] NiJaree [Canady] here along with the other girls has been fun to watch. I’ve always loved softball and watching it. I’m happy it’s gonna be back in the Olympics and glad to have them here in Oklahoma City.”
Brittany echoed her husband’s sentiments, praising the athletes’ skills. “These girls are amazing and they’re incredible athletes with a ton of talent,” she remarked. “NiJaree is just incredible with her skill and her talent, and it’s just been awesome to watch.”
The game concluded with Texas Tech narrowly defeating the Longhorns 4-3, setting the stage for a rematch in Game 3 on June 6.
This outing was just one of several sporting events the couple has attended this offseason. Recently, they were spotted enjoying each other’s company at the F1 Miami Grand Prix in Florida.
Family time remains a priority for the Mahomes as well. In April, they took Sterling and Bronze to Disney World while leaving baby Golden at home. Brittany shared on Instagram, “The best trip with our besties.”
Additionally, Brittany provided a glimpse of Golden during their Easter celebrations, posting a family photo with the caption, “He is Risen! Happy Easter.”
