Philadelphia Set to Host 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Matches
On Wednesday, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will witness Manchester City face off against Wydad AC in the second match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, kicking off at noon.
Philadelphia is set to host a total of eight matches, with six occurring during the Group Stage and two in the Knockout Rounds.
The tournament commenced on June 14, featuring Lionel Messi and Inter Miami's match against Al Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The final showdown is scheduled for July 13 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Before the city welcomes FIFA World Cup matches in 2026, it will serve as a venue for this expanded Club World Cup, which has grown from seven to 32 teams. The tournament format includes eight groups of four teams competing in a round-robin style, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stage.

The financial stakes are high, with a total prize fund of $1 billion. The winning team could take home $125 million. FIFA has allocated $525 million in guaranteed fees for participating teams, with amounts varying based on team rankings.
For every match played, $2 million is awarded for victories in the group stage, while reaching the round of 16 nets $7.5 million. The ultimate champion will receive $40 million.
